Badge

Badge is worked as a spiral so no joining rounds until the outer edge.

Use MC.

R1: 6 sc into magic loop [6]
R2: inc x6 [12]
R3: (sc, inc) x6 [18]
R4: (inc, 2 sc) x6 [24]
R5: (2 sc, inc, sc) x6 [30]
R6: (inc, 4 sc) x6 [36]
R7: (3 sc, inc, 2 sc) x6, at last sc pull through with SC [42]
R8: slst, (inc with hdc, 6 hdc) x6, last hdc is made into the first slst, slst [48]

Fasten off and hide the yarn ends.

Pencil

If the tip of the pencil comes off deformed, you can make corrections when sewing it to the badge.

R1: With red, ch 7
R2: sc to 2nd ch from hook, 4 sc, 4 sc into last ch, continuing other side of chain 4 sc, 3 sc into first ch, slst with yellow yarn, turn [16]
R3: ch, 2 sc, turn [2]
R4: dec [1]
R5: with black ch

Sew in place and hide the yarn ends.
