There are so many different Angry Birds crochet patterns already available. Problem is that the majority of them use felt and other accessories to make the details. I couldn’t find one with 100% crochet, so I made one.
Finished size of Stella is about 10cm x 10cm.
Materials
- 3,5 mm crochet hook
- Pink, white, yellow, black and cyan worsted weight yarns
- Fiber fill
- Needle for sewing
Stella Body

Fasten off and leave a tail for sewing.
Finish stuffing the body with fiber fill and sew the remaining hole shut.
Stomach patch
Stomach patch is done working in a spiral.

Use white yarn.
Rnd 1: 10 sc into magic ring [10] Rnd 2: 2 sc into each st [20] Rnd 3: (1 sc, inc) around [30] Rnd 4: sc around [30] Rnd 5: (1 sc, inc) around [45] Rnd 6: (2 sc, inc) around [60] Rnd 7: sc around, sl st [60]
Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.
TIP: To help align all the details symmetrically in place, wrap a piece of yarn around the body.
Position the stomach patch under the body offsetting it a bit towards the front. Sew tightly.
Beak
Beak is done working in a spiral. Don’t join between rounds.

Use yellow yarn.
Rnd 1: 5 sc into magic ring [5] Rnd 2: sc around [5] Rnd 3: inc around [10] Rnd 4: sc around [10] Rnd 5: (1 sc, inc) around [15] Rnd 6: sc around, sl st [15]
Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.
Feathers
Feathers are worked in a spiral. Also to add little detail, vary the height of each feather by a row or two. Make three feathers.

Use pink yarn.
Rnd 1: 4 sc into magic ring [4] Rnd 2: (1 sc, inc) around [6] Rnd 3: (1 sc, dec) around [4] Rnd 4-10: sc around [4]
Fasten off and leave a tail for sewing.
Tail

Tail consists of three sets of chains with stitches. Avoid tight stitches so the tail won’t curve too much.
Use black yarn.
Row 1-3: 6 ch, sc to 2nd chain and across [5]
Fasten off and leave a tail for sewing.
Eyes

Eyes are done working in a spiral. Don’t join between rounds. Make two eyes.
Use white yarn.
Rnd 1: 10 sc into magic ring [10] Rnd 2: (1 sc, inc) around [15]
Fasten off and leave a tail for sewing.
Use cyan yarn for the irises.
Rnd 1: 4 sc into magic ring, sl st [4]
Fasten off and leave a tail for sewing.
Sew the irises in the middle of the eyes. Use the beginning yarn of the eye to make a small pupil in the middle of the iris.
Use black yarn for the eyelashes.
Select three adjacent eye stitches. The eyelashes are attached to the front loops of those stitches. This makes them come out from under the eye and hide the attachment of the black yarn.
Attach the black yarn to the front loop of the first selected stitch. Chain 2 and fasten off. Make the next two eyelashes similarly to the adjacent stitches with chain 3 and chain 4, respectively.
Mirror the eyelashes for the other eye.
Finishing Stella
Sew the beak (stuff with fiber fill before closing), feathers, tail and the eyes in place using the yarn wrapped around the body as a guidance.
